So, I know San Francisco has a flock of wild parakeets on Telegraph Hill, and there are pigeons everywhere, but what other species of birds are in the area? Specifically, do we have hawks in the City?

There are many kind of birds in the city.  We can see at least sixty species.

You can see hawks in Golden Gate Park,  Presidio and Lake Merced.  De Young Museum's tower is one of the good place to see hawks and ospreys.  You may also be able to see Falcons and kestrels far in the sky.

Golden Gate Park, Land's End, Presidio and Lake Merced are popular place for birdwatching.
