Mt. Hamilton

This is a little bit of a tricky question, depending on your interpretation of "Bay Area." If we are going by counties, Mount Hamilton/Copernicus Peak in Santa Clara County is the tallest at 4,354 feet (1,327 m). At the opposite end of the bay, Mount Saint Helena in Sonoma County stands 4,327 feet (1,319 m). The tallest peak in Contra Costa County is Mount Diablo at 3,806 feet (1,160 m), and the neighboring Alameda County hosts Cedar Mountain at 3,668 feet (1,118 m). Napa County's Berryessa Peak stands at 3,041 feet (927 m), and Mount Tamalpais' West Peak is Marin County's ceiling at 2,552 feet (778 m). Last but not least, Borel Hill in San Mateo is 2,513 feet (766 m) tall.
