Second Life is a virtual environment. It's an open sandbox, like a chat room with 3D avatars... there's a thriving in-game economy, too. Think of things like World of Warcraft, but with no competitive activity built in.

Someone from this company called my cell asking how I liked the service, for I tested out for SFA, but found features that conflicted with the openness of SFA. The number was local, so I asked where they were located, and sure enough their local.. Sometimes local matters.
