I know about continuing education classes and such, but I don't necessarily have the time or inclination to commit to several weeks of learning. How can I dabble in interesting subjects in just one or a few sessions? edit By workshop, I mean academic content. For example, when I was in college, I'd get emails all the time about one-day or weekend events that focused on gender studies or some kind of ethnic studies. These mini conferences would be made up of lectures and workshops, the latter being more interactive, usually a discussion. |

when you say workshops, does wood-working count? learning how to build things?
