I know vaguely that Healthy SF is universal health care within the city, not an insurance program, and that it covers residents beyond the official poverty line (which is very low). But how does it get funded? Is it only from the 4% extra that we get charged at participating restaurants?

great question Sharon! I was just thinking about asking more political questions, ie prop 8, etc.. once the community is bigger, sf locals will be able to voice their opinions, and hopefully, maybe - make a change
