Since I live near Haight-Ashbury, I love Club Deluxe. It's really laid back with dark tones, and lighting. Each day of the week something is going on, check out the site for more info f |

Of course, it depends on what type of bar you are looking for. I like Dave's and the Sutter Station, because they are close to my office and kind of divey. |

Definitely El Rio. shuffle puck, nicely lit out door area, big bar, occasional DJ, fun staff and a cool often local crowd. Plus 1$ Pabst, 2$ well drink Monday nights. Did i say shuffle puck?

If you like El Rio, try Doc's Clock. There's no DJ or outdoor area, but they do have shuffle puck and Pabst on tap. Oh, and Oly in the can, too.

Dovre Club in the Mission. I think it's just cause it's like the random neighborhood bar. Really small, kinda late-20s/30s hipster crowd which means I don't feel like I'm being attacked and if someone does talk to me it's interesting. Small pool table in the back corner and a pretty cool bartending staff makes it awesome in my book. I'll drink my beer and listen to some jams in peace with friends.
