Double Dutch is popular and really conveniently located. I've never bought drinks there but my friends have liked it. It's loud and can be pretty crowded, though, so if that's not your thing then don't bother with it. 1
If you see the light and realize you'd rather be drinking in the Castro, it's close to Muni and major cab thoroughfares =P

Beauty Bar. You can do the "Carlton Dance" to 80s pop, get your nails done, and still grab a cab outside on the way home.
ShaneO, I am in complete agreement with you. But, if ladies are looking to get their groove on, this is place will fit the bill.
