Blue

2337 Market St. - 415.863.BLUE

It's this awesome restaurant in the Castro that takes a simple menu and makes it gourmet. They have 4 different types of Mac n Cheese that you can do some variations of that are simply delicious. I can't even describe the flavors and tastes! Furthermore they also have a great spirits menu to go along with your dinner, great service and great atmosphere. If Grant is still working there (a handsome jovial young guy) then make sure to strike up a conversation and tip him well cause he makes your experience that much more amazing.

For a look at their menu try their website.

Ryan Farr and the folks over at 4505 do awesome work with all food and libations. They've been on the site before, under the sandwich category.

For my money, one of the best Mac n' Cheese dishes is the kaeso spaetzle (that's macaroni and cheese in German) at Suppenkuche in Hayes Valley. Not only is the food awesome, but the scene is cool (imagine a Bavarian drinking hall, with long wooden benches and a very "homey" atmosphere. You can also get all sorts of great beer here. What's better than beer with mac and cheese?!

they have all those sizes? or is this a random pic?

(19 Mar '10, 02:08) sftrek

Yes, they have all these sizes of beers. I personally recommend the 2 Liter "boot" as it is totally awesome to drink your beer from glass footwear. I should warn you, though, that the boot is a little delicate, and they require a deposit before you can get your beer.
