I just found a little Russian Market on Irving called Europa Express. 1342 Irving St, between 14th and 15th (415) 759-6500 www.europaexpressirving.com I am not an expert on Russian food but it is good and cheap. And the little lady that's behind the counter is so adorable and helpful! I'm definitely into it.

there is really nice Russian restaurant on 23rd ave and Clement called "SADKO". the food is inexpensive, sort of...although the portions are a bit small, some may say... but make sure u have some knowledge of Russian language before you go there...1 of 2 waiter up there barely speaks any English :) I also usually shop in "New World Market" on 21st ave and Geary , u can find a lot of food made on Russian recopies as well as produce shipped from russia :) but check the expiration dates :) p.s rissian table always has vodka and marinated herring. your Russian friend :)

changed it to favorite, and made it a community wiki ;)
should we apply a favorite tag to all the "favs"?
I think that's what the tag is for, no?
